Its the International Women’s Day today and my Facebook account prompted me a memory of 2 years back where I had written the following on this day:
A woman who sits at home cos work eats up her salon and spa time (#MottoYOLO), blowing up her folks’ moolah, doesn’t differentiate between Tehran and Taliban, hitting all the clubs and bars asking the men to pay, making her father poor trying to look rich, looking for a “well settled” man abroad with “traditional” values and a good sense of humor, posts a deep meaningful message with a meme about being a woman! Good sense of humor alright! Happy Woman’s Day all you beautiful and hard working ones who seek life beyond the boundaries of benevolent sexism and walk as equals with the male progeny. You are no longer the weaker/fairer sex cos you possess herculean amounts of strength within that soft contour of your human body and we absolutely love you in all your colors! More power to you! #WomansDay#CantImagineLifeWithoutYou
To the two women in my life for whom I have endless ever-lasting love, my mom and my wife, I’d wish you both Happy Women’s Day in being the amazing women you have been. My mom is the epitome of strength in a women while my wife is that rare mix of every atomic element I ever wanted to fuse together to create that perfect compound of love, madness, and psymadness I ever wanted in my wife. Thank you both!
